The Anaheim Chamber of Commerce will issue a Hiring Tax Credit Voucher to a business for each qualified employee hired by the business. The voucher certifies that the employee meets the eligibility requirements for a qualified individual, and is one of the supporting documents to substantiate a business's claim for a tax credit for hiring a qualified individual. The voucher must be retained by the business, and shared with their tax preparer as documentation for the employer's tax return.
The voucher alone does not qualify an employer to claim the Enterprise Zone hiring credit. To qualify for the credit, the business must operate in the Anaheim Enterprise Zone, the employee must spend 90 percent of his or her work time in the zone, and the employee must meet legal right-to-work requirements. It is the employer's responsibility to verify an employee's right to work in the United States.
Please Note: A business may or may not be able to make full use of a Hiring Credit of other benefits of the Anaheim Enterprise Zone program. We recommend that you contact your tax consultant for further information.
Voucher Request
This process requires completing and submitting vouchering documents consisting of:
1. A Cover Letter with your complete application packet.
The cover letter, on company letterhead, should include:
- The total number of voucher applications being submitted
- Contact information in case follow-up questions arise
- Address for where to send the approved certificates
- The dollar amount enclosed.

5. A Non-Refundable Processing Fee of $100 per Voucher Request
Payment can be made by Check or Money Order made payable to the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce.
