Anaheim Chamber Announces 2006 Anaheim Business Award Winners

Award Recipients Honored at 2006 Anaheim Business Awards Luncheon

 

Anaheim, CA – The Anaheim Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Anaheim and the Small Business Association, today announced the winners of the 2006 Anaheim Business Awards. Those being honored include:

 

Lifetime Achievement Award– Bruno Serato, Anaheim White House

Business Champion of the Year – Marcie Edwards, Anaheim Public Utilities

Large Business of the Year – Adams Steel

Small Business of the Year – American Sports Centers

Tourism Business of the Year– Disneyland Resort

Manufacturing Business of the Year – Reborn Cabinets

Family-Owned Business of the Year– Visser’s Florist & Greenhouses

Minority-Owned Business of the Year – 7 Day Dental

Construction Business of the Year – Hollister Construction

Non-Profit Organization of the Year– TIE:  Boys & Girls Club of Anaheim and Halcyon/Anaheim Interfaith Shelter

 

“Our businesses are the backbone to our community, providing jobs, revenue, sales tax and bed tax which drive our city and pay for our services,” said Anaheim Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Todd Ament. “While we would like to honor all Anaheim businesses and thank them for their services, we have chosen the top companies and individuals who we feel have made a significant impact to the Anaheim community over the past year.”

 

A selection committee, comprised of 15 representatives from the Anaheim Chamber board, City of Anaheim, Small Business Association, and other local businesses and organizations, selected the award winners from nominations received by the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce. Businesses and individuals were chosen for awards based on their contributions to the local and regional economy, their leadership role in the Anaheim business community, as well as their growth and stability over the past three years.

 

All award winners will be recognized at the 2006 Anaheim Business Awards Luncheon, on November 15, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. Tickets are $45 each and sponsorship opportunities are also available.
